As the broker Owner of Salt and Cedar, I am not only a real estate sales person, but also an investor. I started small, as most people do, with a one bedroom condo that I rented out to see if I actually wanted to be a landlord. A few years went by and my portfolio began to grow. That first condo I bought is now worth almost five times as much as I paid, and my tenants have paid the carrying costs since I began 24 years ago – sounds like free money, doesn’t it?
